I'd say that statement is correct. Not that I'm out there or anything but if the rocks were showing in a couple of areas a week or so ago then it wont have got any better
Hi nick,we were there last week and was "closed"(fabric barrier across)I skied it 3 times and was obv.skied by many others too, porb. at least 10 other people on the run each time we were on,yes there were a few stones and bits of ice but perfectly ok.I bel;eive it is a bit of a political situation as to why it is closed, not officially listed as a ski run on borosports info,so wether is insurance concerns or something i'm not sure, but is not closed for lack of snow. The black down to resort ...

Regardless of whether it is listed as an official run or not it is on the piste maps and is a run although mainly a walking route during the summer months. If a run is closed it would more than likely be because the people who run the resort consider it to be unsafe. Regardless of whether anybody else feels it is ok to do so or not and regardless of how many people have done so. Should you have an accident on a closed run, I'd suggest that your own insurance would not cover you and it may be ...

Regardless of whether anybody else feels it is ok to do so or not and regardless of how many people have done so. Should you have an accident on a closed run, I'd suggest that your own insurance would not cover you and it may be the case that you would have to pay the rescue people to get you off the mountain too. Should you bugger up a pair of rented skiis going over a load of stones then it's quite possible they would be in their rights to charge you for them. In addition, the top of the pathway is very close to an area called the avalanche which is the area towards mousala off marky 3. I think it's a case that you do things at your own risk, it's not compulsory to wear a helmet either. The pathway is fun for sure but there is more to Borovets than that, don't let it being open or not spoil your holiday
On a brighter note there is some snow forecast next Tuesday and then what looks to be a good dump on Thursday
