We were in Borovets half term week and enjoyed it.
Keep in mind that this is Bulgaria on a buget, not St. Moritz nor Miribel and you'll all have a great time!!!!
We were als at the Rila during half term. When you have kids that is your only option and everywhere is busy. The food is ok you certainly wouldn't starve! Plenty of home made bread and jam plus lots of chips. Eating out is so cheap too! Try the Titanic just opp the hotel by the ski depot. Great steaks run by a ski instructor called Nikki. He also gives private lessons very cheap.
Have a good time.
We will be back next Feb.
You'll have a great time - the skiing is good, there's been more snow & you won't have to deal with so many beginners clogging up the slopes. I did enjoy my holiday. Don't think I'll return to Borovets, but two lads on the beer will be well catered for!!
Kathy, I'll definately be going ski-ing again, and don't get me wrong, we had a good time in Borovets. I just wish my son had had a better experience. My 13 yr old was in our group. I didn't realise that you could all stick together, we just went with the flow. I won't be going back to Borovets mainly because i would like to try different places. I think Borovets would make a great 1st time ski venue for anyone, but I just can't see us returning.
