My story so far

Hi All,

I am a bit bored tonight, waiting for Jonathon Ross and his interview with Richard 'the hamster' Hammond.

I thought I would take the chance to tell you how I found this site, and subsequently became addicted.

Hi All,

I am a bit bored tonight, waiting for Jonathon Ross and his interview with Richard 'the hamster' Hammond.

I thought I would take the chance to tell you how I found this site, and subsequently became addicted.

Once apon a time................... Earlier this year, Feb, a friend of mind , who knew I was looking to invest in some property, uk or abroad, told be about Bulgaria and to be more precise, Bansko.
I did some research and talked my wife, Kari, into taking a trip to bansko and look into the options. We wanted something to use ourselves, but also rent out.

Late April we flew out there, saw various developers/agents. Got fed up with the hard sell. Then on the final meeting we were introduced to Rady , a develpoer, who told you how it was and told no bull. We liked his no nonsence approach and decided to buy a 1 bed. We saw the massive potential of Bansko and loved the atmosphere and people.

Having returned and agreed contracts, i have been sitting and waiting for construction progress. Unlike most developments, ours is still on schedule. Due to be complete 8th Jan 2007.

I am now at my most excited stage so far. I am going to inspect the finished apartment in 2 weeks, with my Dad, because my wife is expecting our first child and can't fly.

I am not a good skier, having only been once before, 1988 on a school trip to Pamps. I cant wait ( sorry Pete ), to go back out to Bansko and see the place covered in snow and have a go at skiing again. And then returning for years to come.

I discovered this site, after deciding to buy. It would have been useful to have known it before, but nothing I have heard on here would have changed our minds.

I have never met anyone from the board, but feel i have known them for ages. From taking the p*ss out of Switzerland, to organising the sweepstake, it has all been a laugh.

I hope to bump into a few people from the board whilst out there this season. 9th-13 Jan and the a week at the start of Feb and have a few Booze.

Anyway, thats plenty for now, but I would be interested in other peoples stories of how they ended up on BGSKI.COM.

Cheers for now

Thanks for this Smag, I was thinking of looking at property while I am out in Bansko leaving tomorrow for our first ever ski trip. Good luck with the purchase and the future skiing.
Happy Christmas!

re: My story so far

whats wrong with sprouts
dont knock em

Have you ever grown then, then harvested them on Christmas morning and cooked them whilst still fresh.

Cant beat the taste and the satisfaction that you grew them, and not just picked them up at Asda when they are 4 days old.

Some of my other specialities are - new potatoes, beans, onions, salad, toatoes, leeks and swedes

cheers

Sam,

We will have to agree to disagree Smile

I only eat sprouts once a year, and that is the ones that I grow and eat on xmas day. They are becoming legendary in our village. I will have to keep guard on xmas eve night to make sure that they do not get nicked by the neighbours Smile

Cheers

We found this site last year after the wife made a to do list while approaching a monumental birthday, and top of the list was skiing. We are lucky in having an Excape on our doorstep and took lessons. One of our instructors who winters in France told us he took his wife to Pamps to learn her to ski and it was excellent, we came home booked it on his recommendation and found this site while panicking about whether we would cope, how they would get us off the mountain when we were critically ...

One of our instructors who winters in France told us he took his wife to Pamps to learn her to ski and it was excellent, we came home booked it on his recommendation and found this site while panicking about whether we would cope, how they would get us off the mountain when we were critically injured, that kind of stuff, but it was fantastic, we are hooked and have been boring everyone we meet about our excitement at returning, only here we find people as obsessed as us, nice to know were not the only ones obsessed with Bulgarian skiing
