Unfortunatly being conned by sales reps is part of life wherever bulgaria is concerned, its strange how a few years ago British TV programs were saying 'Go buy in Bulgaria', now they're saying 'Oh, beware, you can't believe everything you hear'
i.e. the swimming pool that never happens
the house right on the edge of a golf course, apart from the other row of apartment blocks
the houses on a golf course development, which now may just be a driving range if your lucky.......................................

Why is there this constant question, `when is there going to be a new gondola'. The gondola in Bansko is new !! If the call is for `get me an additional gondola so i do not have to stand in a queue for an hour 3 or 4 times a season' then you can understand why the company in question, Ulen, has not responded. The queuing especially first thing in the morning differs very little from other resorts anywhere in the Alps, the rush can be predicted, so wait an hour in a cafe or bar, or have an extra hour in bed, your legs will thank you. Bansko does need additional piste, the restrictions within the national park now limit that. If there is to be an additional gondola it will be better placed accessing another area outside of the restrictions and even better linking to another small resort. Getting back to the queues at the gondola, another option is get a lift to the Chakin Valog chair and meet the gondola half way, there are always spaces, taxis wil drop you there for a few lev, im sure some bright cheerful ex ski instructer has his eye on doing something just like that
The additional gondola will come but hopefully in the form i have expressed, we need more accessable area in order to move forward to try to establish Bansko as a resort worth visiting more than a couple of times.
