Opinions on this are bound to vary and I don't particularly agree with Fraser on this one. If you can do basic turns and stop then there is no reason why you can't just have a go on an easy slope and I believe there are slopes in Borovets which are ideal for beginners. I go to Bansko which isn't good for beginners so that is a different scenario. Try and use chairlifts rather than t-bars and you'll be fine and as your husband has skied before he will help you I'm sure ...

Melissa, I go with fraser&sarah on this one!!
What will you do when you lose control and fall somewhere??? a teacher and the group can help, support en give the necessary confidence..(and afterwards a good laugh!!)
On the other hand: a few hrs without hubby is quality time for yourself!! and you have something to talk about later..
Anyway, enjoy and till 4 March
Thanks everyone and yes you are right opinions will vary.
I have to say I don't know the difference between all these chairs you mention - maybe someone can enlighten me
Tanjette thanks for your advice too much appreciated. If I fall and loose control my lovely hubby will be there to help and support me and of course have the good laugh afterwards too.

Quality time alone is nice but I want to spend my time in the snow with my hubby!!
Hi Meliisa,
you should take some lessons! at least two hours per day, Why - in order to avoid accidents and body dammage. Enjoy the afternoons with your hubby.
Keep well
Roland
I have only skied twice and both times in Borovets., The second year my husband was in a different class to me and I stayed with the children. He joined us for a couple of the days - Wednesday and Friday by which time we were going up the gondola and tackling the more challenging slopes anyway.

This year we are going to Morzine in France with a big group of friends. The children are all having morning lessons and apart from me the rest of the adults aren't taking lessons - they have all been many times before and are more proficient than me!!
I don't want to miss out on the fun but the same time feel I need some guidance. With this in mind I have booked 3 afternoon lessons on alternate days. Maybe an idea for you.
Christo in The White Magic bar comes highly recommended in Borovets so you could always look him up and book a morning with him and then go from there.
Hope this all helps and enjoy whatever you decide.
I know guy that's been skiing for about 8 years but he still has one half day personal lesson at the beginning of his holiday then spends the rest of the week practicing the new stuff he's learnt, He says it keeps him from deleloping bad faults.
You could also use that time with him as a guide of the resort.
