We have stayed in the Yagoda Village - a bit out of town and The Alpin Hotel which is opposite the Rila. You have to book that independantly through a Russian Travel Agency now but it is a lovely hotel with some nice lodges in the grounds behind it - also a great postion.

Hope this helps

re: New Hotel in Bovorets

Hi, everybody.

I plan to vizit Borovets, villa Yagoda from 26 jan 2006 till 2 feb 2006.
Does anybody was there this winter (or jan-feb 2005) ?
I will be thankful for any comments and advice.
Thanks in advance,
Yury Bozhor, Moscow, Russia.

re: New Hotel in Bovorets

I just returned from the Yagoda huts yesterday, very picturesque. They are a approx 7 min drive from the main resort, but this is easily accessable via a free bus on the hour, or by the 'express bus' at any time, only 3 leva per person. The accomadation is very basic, but warm and clean, pillows not very comfortable. The restaurant on site is good too and value for money. I really enjoyed my stay here! Very Happy
