Hi. We're two families with teenage kids coming to Borovets for the first time, Any ideas how/where we can celebrate New year's eve with a bang. Also, where can we find a typical Bulgarian evening (meal)? thanks
Hi Louise,
I spent last New Year's Eve in bobbys bar with my 3 kids..one 14 year old girl, one 11 year old boy and a 7 year old boy. Our friends also came with us with their 14 year old daughter. We had a fantastic meal and everyone had a great night. We made lots of new friends in bobbys bar..it's like home from home. We will be there again this year for New Year's Eve. Might see you there!!

thanks all. Just another query. We'll be arriving at Sofia Airport around 10.30am. We wish to visit Sofia for a couple of hours before we head for borovets. Which is the best reliable transfer from airport to city? Where can we leave our luggage in the meantime (train station?)
As the guys say, if you want to book with us then please send me an email by clicking on my name. Most restaurants in Borovets do a set meal only for NY Eve as it is celebrated far more than Christmas over here and you will need to book early as most restaurants get booked up pretty quickly with ski groups etc.
In terms of your transfer / luggage etc, have you booked a transfer to actually get to the resort? The reason I ask is that if no, you may be better booking ...

In terms of your transfer / luggage etc, have you booked a transfer to actually get to the resort? The reason I ask is that if no, you may be better booking someone who will pick you up from the airport, store your luggage, drop you off in the centre and then collect you after you have finished looking around. It will cost around the same as having to store luggage, pay for airport transfer etc.
Also, we booked our accommodation at the Chamkoria chalets, so we'll be needing a taxi at night to go back. Is it easy to find taxis for the 10 of us late at night and what are the fees.? thanks
