Bulgaria Ski discussion board

This is very sad for everyone who is out there at the moment and i pray that it will soon snow and get cold.
This is the first year in 5 years that we are not going over to Borovets for New Year, we always fly over on 27th. I felt a bit sad this morning that we weren't at Gatwick and getting all excited about skiing, so i've come on here to see what i'm missing.
I can't believe how poor the conditions are. We've got friends out there at the moment who said things were bad but i didn't realise how bad.
I really will pray for snow soon and better conditions for everyone - this is damaging for the reputation of the resort....

No snow I'm afraid and everything is shut. Some of the ski classes have transferred over to bansko, although just spoken to them and they said it is absolutely heaving over there and they have been waiting 1 1/2hours to get on the lift... ! In terms of Boro, it has been raining and now sunny again and pretty warm although it has been said it will cool down. At the moment, there's not much good news to give you and although it is said be snowing at the very top, there's too much wind so a.gondola has been shut every day except once so far this season and also b. the wind is just blowing the snow off the mountains. Sorry...!
