Off to Borovets on 4th March with a group of friends (mostly couples and me!!), and was a bit apprehensive going to Bulgaria, have always been a Austria / France snowblader. But after reading alot of the posts here, am now looking forward to it.
The skiing sounds good and will be making our way to the Buzz bar for the evenings.
Any other advice or info I should know? Hope everyone has a good ski season.
r u a snowblader if so can u give me some tips i have never used snowblades and i really wanted to try them out is it worth it or not only been skiing once before
Its brilliant at bulgaria especially borovets its the best holiday you will ever have everyone just enjoys skiing and especially the drinking, you will have a brilliant time im off on the 28th the only advice i have is dont break a leg lol !
I went skiing twice and found it hard to turn quickly so hired a pair of blades on the last day and now hooked (that was 4 years ago). I snowblade cause I couldn't turn well when skiing!! The blades are shorter so after a couple of goes manged to do 360 degree turns and could control my decent better which made the days more fun. The only problem is you really ache after a full days skiing, but lots of beer at night and you forget about this!

A tip would be to hire different lengths each day till you find one you like, I have a 1m long pair for the day, found the 1.1m ones dug in too much, and a pair of 'bigfoots' 35cm ones for complete stupidity.
For Jamie - Been blading now for 3 years - wouldn't have it any other way - My husband had been skiing on very big skis for 18 years, and one try on blades made him sell his skies and buy some extra fat blades. I think it's by far the best way to learn - you can always progress to skies at a later date.... though I ...
