Noticed on the Sofia and Newcastle airport arrivals/departures boards that the Balkan flight BGH5881 left sofi at 10.45 this morning for Newcastle then Manchester. Also returning to Sofia from Manchester then Newcastle at 15.20 this afternoon (expected there 20.20 tonigh)Thought Balkan flights were on a Sunday, shouldnt that have happened yesterday- or was this a one off for the festive period?
Presumably our flights are still on the date indicated (16 th Jan)

were on that flight on the 16th and i havent heard anything but balkan really are a law unto themselves so anything is posssible

I presume this was a one off due to the festive period. Rather than a law to themselves, they are probably trying to service their clients.

Steve- you on from Manchester or Newcastle?I got letter saying times had changed (later) from Newcastle- contacted Balkan and they said flight was direct, and had nothing to do with Manchester one- think they have been fibbing!
BUT
This weekends flight was 24hours late, those returning and those departing today_ unless the days were different over the festive period

Ian, as you probably are aware we havent had any info of changing flight times etc....saying this I still havent been to pick our groups tickets up yet! (Three slackers not handed passport details in yet so they wont release the tickets!!)
Once I get them I'll confim the details to you.
So far on the reservation sheet thing it says:
Outgoing Flight: 16/1/2010 BGH5812 Man-Sofia, 13:15 - 20:10. So my flight leaves Manc @ 13:15 and lands at Sofia for 20:10.

Rob- i think you will find your plane leaves 13.15, arrives Newcastle 14.15, and departs around 15.00 hrs arriving 20.10! (thats Balkan!)Have noticed another couple of planes from the UK (Balkan) arriving within that hour so we may be waiting for later arrivals to save on the coach costs too!
Get some alcohol in from duty free to have a drink while we wait for coach departure!- as we will arrive late in resort!

Ian,Does that mean I will be on the same flight as you if you are leaving Newcastle too? Or is yours an earlier flight and we pick up the remainder that cant be picked up on the first plane out of Newcastle?
Dont worry abouy the ale! We have it all under control already! Got it planned out what we need to get for the first night!!

Rob- with Balkan this year i have no idea!As Heapster said, we usually share with Edinburgh, but they have shared this weekends flight with Manchester- and i have previously shared with East Midlands!
We are scheduled to depart 15.00hrs and arrive 20.10hrs- assumed your flight will come to us if you are leaving earlier and your flight taking longer!
