For anyone looking at booking for Easter holls thinking they are in March nxt yr - beware. The Easter bank holiday w/e is March 24-27, but (& this is weird) they then return to school for 2 weeks, then have 2 weeks off in April??? Don't know if this is just the London boroughs - 2 out of my 3 (all at different schools) have got their term dates and this is the case so far.re: Next Easter sch Holls

My two kids at two different schools,also in the London area, have completely different holidays. One breaks up 2 weeks earlier than the other.Apparently more and more schools are going to take a later holiday in April because otherwise this makes the summer term too long.This is of course a nightmare for people who wanted to take advantage of an early Easter to go skiing. It makes it quite difficult too for people trying to incorporate the bank holidays into their weeks skiing holiday if ...

Same up North, here in Tyne & Wear and Northumberlandall seem to be having Easter bank hol then returning to shool then starting 2 week Spring(easter) break on 7th April 2008

By the way, after2008, there isn't a March Easter 'til 2013 and then it's the 31st. You have to wait until 2035 for an Easter date anyway like as early as2008 and there is not another Easter day as early as 23rd March until after 2123. I might not be skiing then! We are Hampshire schools and we have the - Easter weekend then back to school - Then two weeks off in April too - How can the schools get mad when youtake the kids out of school when they keep changing the rules - My advise is book now and blame the schools later!re: Next Easter sch Holls
Too true Saskia.We too are in Hants and I actually phoned the LEA to check and even they were surprised!
I am going to use the construction industry shutdown as my excuse for taking the kids out of school.
