Pamporovo will not have artificial snow in the 2007-2008 winter season, because the dam, which would provide water for the snow machines, has been drained.
The dam has been drained, because it did not meet technical safety requirements.
The lifts in the resort will start functioning around December 15th. They will also be opened between December 7th and 9th because of the students’ holidays.
Prices for lift passes would remain the same as in 2006-2007 season. A day pass will cost 49 ...

In the nearby Chepelare resort, daily lift passes will cost 25 leva. Winter season in Chepelare resort will open on December 21 2007.

I hear rather than "technical safety requirements" their is some conflict between the owners of the snow cannons and the owners of the dam/water company.

yes posted before but now again i guess just to remind if anyone intending to go to Pamp and expecting top place with top snow.still at the moment very thin on the ground and much less than Boro and Banskore: No Snow Cannons In Pamporovo This Year
