Hi guys, to all of you going to Pamps at the weekend, we were there last week and all the reps and locals say they are expecting a decent dump of the white stuff on the 27th. If you are a beginner don't worry the cannons do a brill job if the weather is cold enough, but if you are an intermediate like us if there is no snow soon you will struggle to ski as all the blue and reds were getting like mud tracks.

But we fell in love with Pamporovo anyway, what a brill place, the locals are so friendly. Just beware of bell sellers, even if you buy one they don't leave you alone, in fact they pester you even more, but do try to remember that selling bells is their lively hood in what is still a very deprived country. They are the first to help if you fall or are struggling to carry your ski's.
Hotel Orlovetz was brill, excellent service, food ok but luke warm.
If anyone is coeliac and going over there, don't worry, there was plenty to chose from on the slopes (jacket potatoes, omelettets, etc). Hats off to chef at Orlovetz he was prepared to cook anything our son would have liked if nothing on the menu was suitable.
