"PC gone mad."

I agree.

The parents have to sort out their own additional insurance in any 'unusual' conditions (diabetes etc)

There are a lot of things to consider, though. How severe the allergy is. How sensible the child is. etc.. What supervision/training is in place. Also, the child has a lot to contend with in the first place without finding out they're not allowed the same opportunities as the rest. Each case should be looked at independently. A 'blanket' no for epipens is ...

A 'blanket' no for epipens is extreme.

Personally, I would never put my own child in the position.

All things considered, if you thought about it too much, there would be no school trips at all (which our unions advise). If something happens, they'll find a way to make you culpable. Sad, but true.

kind regards

re: Nut Allergy

Ok, Didn't mean to cause any hassle by requesting some advice regarding the medical facilities in Pamporovo! I appreciate the debate but don't want any fall-outs over the topic-remember we're all part of the big ski family!
I think we should take it as Topic Closed!
Thanks again guys for the advice.

re: Nut Allergy

Fall outs? Where?

No animosity that I can see. Just replied because I have recent experience taking kids with peanut allergies to Pamporovo.

Sorry if I offended (although I can't see who's offended)

kind regards

You have experienced this first hand. It sounds primative by all accounts!"....just a little dissapointed in this reaction i guess. Carry on...
