re: OVER DRESSED

OUCH........ -27c that's nuts, I came back with a tanned face this year and that's no joke, i did'nt even wear my ski gloves, and I would have ski'd in jeans and a sweatshirt if I could keep up-right for more than 4 inutes at a time !!

re: OVER DRESSED

Take each day/ hour as it comes. Up a mountain things can and do change in a matter of minutes.

As my old cub scout master use to say Be prepared. Wink

As the scout master said be prepared, top of Borovets was minus 18 the other year and chin was exposed to the elements, felt like i had just shaved with a blunt rusty bic razor Crying

We were in Pamps at the beginning of February, landed the day it snowed. When it was snowing it was very cold only got warmer and needed to wear less layers later in the week when the sun came out.

Some days It was -15 in 06 at Pamps, even on warm days I still took extra layers for the kids in my back pack, if I didn't they'd just pinch my scarf, hat etc when the sun went in. As arron said be prepared for the worse, you can always strip off.

re: OVER DRESSED

If I stripped off on the slopes it would be cold as i would block the sun out !!
AA...it's good to see a few of the regulars are up and about this morning Very Happy
I think i'll take my full kit bag just in case of a cold snap.

re: OVER DRESSED

Unfortunately I'm off to a funeral this morning Crying

I've got a photo from last year of an Old Bulgarian Guy walking down the mountain topless, and all of us in snow gear, looks funny.

Hope its a bit colder this year Smile
