there must be a reason why you can book through the travel agents to fly to Plovdiv and then end up in Sofia ?

plenty time to absorb

and be fresh on sunday for the slopes,,,,or not depending on the local brew.

I was due to fly out of Plovdiv on Sat 3rd and the airport was closed due to snow. Bus to Sofia and a 24 hour delay and I'm home!

i find tht for some reason balkan holidays arnt do alot of the plovdiv flights they usually do....dow only 2 departure airports in the uk....surely plovdiv is easier, quieter airport and not too muchof a difference in transfer time between plovdiv to bansko as their is from sofia - bansko and pamporovo are going to lose out

I booked through Balkan and they've transferred us onto a Thomson flight, but still to Plovdiv

A couple of years ago we were scheduled to land at Plovdiv, got diverted to Sofia and then diverted to Bourgas...that was some fun!
