Snowboard package - 3 days lessons (2 hours p/d), lift pass, Board and boots = £199
Now am I missing something or is there a ridiculous difference in oprice for what you get.. or is this another Ulen thing to make money from the boarders as more peopel are chosing to do this?
The initial hire of snowboard equipment is markably more expensive than skis and this will effect the final price, the instruction also for boarders is in much smaller classes and for shorter periods because of the extra effort involved (most likely lugging around all that armour and baggy clothing)
Still, very good deals in both cases, especially as the lift pass alone is normally 160 euro.
As for more people choosing to board ??? They actually choose to
Husband has gone over to the dark side after several years skiing - did an intensive course yesterday at Chill Factore and hurt his knee - that'll teach him!!
Seriously though, he did say he's picked boarding up far quicker than skiing, several friends have said the same, including those who have never skiied before boarding. Steeper learning curve and all that....
I say good luck to him, picked up an injury first time out, so the most basic lesson of boarding has been learnt, still plenty of time to pick up a few more crackers before he comes crawling back (literally) on his bleeding hands and knees hehehehe
For skiing class sizes usually around 10 people, can be smaller or larger depending on when you are there and how busy it is. Never boarded so cant coment on the size of the class.
