Pamporovo - Christmas Day

Help please guys,
I am a teacher from Northern Ireland, so don't get Feb half term. Was keen to go to pamps for new year, but flights are silly money and can't get direct from Belfast or Dublin, need overnight stop at Gatwick etc. etc. So heading over on 23rd. I have 2 young children and am a bit concerned about what to do on Christmas day. I am an apartment owner so won't benefit from the big gala dinner and all the atmosphere that goes with it. Has anyone got a good idea where we could go ...

Has anyone got a good idea where we could go for a good feed with other families? Also, does the skiing continue as normal on Christmas day (Is everything open, business as usual?).
I'd really appreciate some advice on this.
Many thanks

re: Pamporovo - Christmas Day

Christmas Day is a big day for skiing in Pamporovo and everybody has a brilliant day skiing past and wishing everyone Merry Xmas.

Most of the main restaurants will do a special lunch - I know that the White Hart do so maybe give that a try.

Thanks Pete, that sounds promising. I'm sure I may need to email to book in advance. If anyone else has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

Julie
I have been in pamps several times at xmas.you will find that all thr resturants outside of hotels will be deserted.
The hotels have a gala evening on xmas night and as the majority of people in resort r with tour operators packages the gala is included in the price.
the last few times after being at about 6/7 gala nights we decided to eat out.once at whitehart and once at danmar.you will not need to book just arrive but they both will be very quiet.

re: Pamporovo - Christmas Day

Thanks for that Philip. Ever tried to pay for a gala dinner in one of the hotels? Perhaps somewhere smaller - like Markony would allow us to join them. (Any idea how to make contact directly?) Don't want to be sittin in an empty restaurant or the kids sake. (Are you from Northern Ireland too then Philip?).
