Hi,
I've been looking for accommodation for half term week in Feb 2010 and have just had a chat with an owner of an apartment in Royal Spa, Pamporovo.
Although his apartments were available for the dates I requested he felt it only fair to inform me the complex was effectively 'closed' to tourists this season due to the very low numbers last year and this is true for the majority of other combined hotel/apartment complexes in Pamporovo (5* hotels etc will be open as normal etc) but this ...

He did think other owners/tour operators may not mention this as they would want the let.....
Can anyone comment on this?
Is Pamporovo effectively closed this season????

You might see other threads highlighting the recent investment into the resort - in particular a new 6-man chairlift and multiple snow cannons.I personally don't believe that Pamps will be closed. That having been said, I was there at Feb half term last year and it was like having my own personal ski resort for most of the time and I have video to prove it !
Everything was open last year, but no lift queues. Long may that pattern continue as far as I am concerned.

Hi, just been looking at booking a deal for Jan & Balkan Holidays are showing plenty of hotels in Pamporovo & pretty damn good prices too £253 4* but I think I'm going to pay a wee bit more & go to Bansko again next year.
