Pamporovo 29 Feb

Booked up to go for a weeks learn to snowboard, staying at Hotel Perelik with my gf

Anyone else going that time?

Was thinking of buying all my gear out there as previous posts suggest that but I just realised our flight leaves Gatwick @ 3.15pm so after the flight (? 3 hrs?) and transfer (4 hrs) it will probably be gone 10pm when we get there, before adjusting for the time difference... which is presumably ahead so it will be even later

Are you sure you dont fly out on 28th usually flights are on the sat not sun !! We are flying ffom man on 28th staying at Hotel Pamporovo like last year !!!!

wrighty is your flight at 12.30 on saturday from manchester? will be on the same flight if it is but we are going to borovets.

You will not have time to buy all your gear on the first morning unless you want to be late for your lessons! much better to buy gear before you go loads of cheap stuff available at the moment.

I see that now ops:

So, 3 hours flying + 2hrs time difference + 3.45 hrs transfer = nearly 9 hrs travel time.

Leaving at 3pm UK time will be us there about midnight. Would this be too late to buy clothing & equipment before snowboard school starts on the Monday?

Good point!

Any recommendations on where to get nice stuff but not too ££££?

Does evry1 wear long johns under their salopettes?


P.S.I was told all the flights were on Sundays thru www.bookitlate.com (although in the first choice brochure it says its Saturdays)

Im going with First Choice and we fly on the sat i would double check as the weeks skiing or boarding normally runs from sun to sat

I have never worn long johns but then I do not feel the cold much. Perhaps get a pair you can always loose them if you get to hot! Check out TK Max, Sport+Soccer, Aldi,Tchibo all have cheap stuff. Not worth spending loads on your first go My trousers where £20.00 Jacket £40.00 both fine. But it is worth investing in good quality thick socks(thermal) and Gloves the cheep ones are crap!
