Hi Brendan - missed you this year as we don't go out until March 21st by which time I think we may have everything to ourselves. I'm sure with you there though, the Markony are still doing a good trade.
Mikey - I can only comment from personal experience. We were in Pamps last week over half term. It was very quiet - much more so than in previous years. However, the snow conditions were fantastic. We were in Deux Alps over New Year and the new runs in Pamps were easily comparable with the runs there. The difference was that we paid half the price we paid for France!

Pamporovo empty - I don't think so and not for this weekend in particular.
This weekend is a 4-day Holiday Weekend for Bulgarian's. I have just come back from Pamporovo and it is heaving and traffic jams everywhere. I went to prepare my daughters' apartment for guests and I couldn't find a parking space in the complex let alone anywhere along the roads or carparks.
I've just come back from my second trip to Deux Alpes this season - its a bit disingenuous to compare a 40 piste resort from 1800 - 3600 metres with Pamporovo. I'd agree that prices of booze is eye watering though - 6 euro a half litre of beer is frankly outrageous. Its half that in top Austrian resorts which also have decent happy hours.
I was skiing alone last week so no chance for La Grave. Shame as its one of my favourite places but there was no powder so it would have been really hard work especially in the chute
