Headin to Pamps tomorrow. To be honest regret it. Why do people go here when the snow conditions are regularly bad. Is it a cost thing? OK the Alpine resorts are more expensive but at least you're guaranteed snow and endless opens runs. Have the people whi run this resort ever heard of snow cannons???
That's not strictly true James. Having skied Pamporovo for 15 years (usually last week Jan/first week Feb) it is only the last 3 years that the snow has been poor. Why - I can't answer that but pre 2005 it was always superb.
Call it global warming or whatever but it is only a recent thing that hopefully will change before it kills the resort stone dead forever.
Chepalare is just 15kms away and consists of one long black/red and an even longer twisting blue. You need to go with someone who has experience there really as it is possible to get lost on the blue.
Hi guys they snowed in the second half of the runs in Chepelare. It's not bad. Considering that the run is 3.5 km long from the top. So the hal of it is still good skiing.
I am in Cheps and can take you here from Pamps. Give me a shout over e-mail or call me on my mob. here
