Pamporovo or Bansko

Hi. We are three families (total of 12, 6 kids aged 7-10) and are looking at going to either the Hotel Finlandia in Pamporovo or the Hotel Strazhite in Bansko (Finlandia is £400 cheaper per family). Any suggestions? How busy do the slopes get at both resorts? 4 of the adults have been ski-ing before. Would be pleased for some suggestions, driving me mad trying to decide - we are going 6th January 07.

Thanks for that. Do you think Bansko will be too busy, heard horrifying reports about waiting 2 hours for gondola.

That's because it's half term.

Jan 07 will be fine and they have the best lift system in Bulgaria.

Heard not very good things about Boro. Looked at Rila Studios, but read some bad things.

I have been all 3 places. Pamporovo or Bansko? - definitive Bansko - but dont exclude Borovets and Hotel Rila, it's more like tivoli - your children would love it - Bansko are more náturel - I myself going there at saturday

As you seem to be very knowledgeable about Pamporovo, could you give me some info about Christmas Skiing? Looking at going Christmas 2006 but am a bit worried about the snow cover. I know nothing can be guaranteed regarding weather but I can't find anyone to advise me. Also, any advice on hotel etc., I was looking at the Panorama. Thanks.

The queues were fine wen we went last week, we waited once for 20 mins but the queue moves quick! its usually on peoples first day there are queues as they are all trying to get there hired equipment!!!
I haven't been Pamps, Bansko my first skiing holiday been 2 times and think its rather easy tbh.
