Pamporovo pool

Hi all,
Does anyone know it there is a hotel in the Pamporovo area that has an outdoor pool? I will be spending week in Stoikite in August and know from experience that it can get quite warm. The kids would love it if they could have a swim to cool off! Also, does anyone know anything about Devin? Are there outdoor baths there?
I'd appreciate any info.
Many thanks
Julie

re: Pamporovo pool

Thanks Jim,
Does anyone know the exact location of these baths? We have a 2yr old and a baby and so going with an organised tour is not an option, we would drive ourselves as we need car seats, toilet stops etc. etc!! Not sure if the very hot water would be suitable for the kids anyway. Any other suggestions/info would be appreciated.
Thanks again
Julie

re: Pamporovo pool

Hi Julie

Devin is well sign posted from Stoikite and the baths etc are sign posted when you get to Devin, there is one near the centre, and from memory others are sign posted as well. There is a car park directly next to the pool near the centre, and there is also a tourist information centre - maybe you can contact them before you go ?

We have been a few times, but I dont like water, and his nibbs likes the one in the centre !!!

re: Pamporovo pool

Hi Julie

Forgot to add that you could always drop a mail to the Stoikite tourist info office.

For an indoor pool on a day you dont want to travel too far, the apartments / hotel on the road to Smolyan (Panorama ?) have a spa centre, and we all have used that for the spa treatments and the pool.

re: Pamporovo pool

Hi Tracey,

The Perelik Palace (on the road to Smolyan from Stoikite) the Spa is up and running - well it was during the winter. The facilities were open to non-guests, and the prices were really good.

The resturant there is also really nice, good food and good service.

Hope that helps

Hi Julie,

Chalets in Pamporovo village( formally known as Forest Nook 1&2) has an outdoor swimming pool and jacuzzi.
Also, there is an indoor sauna/jym and beauty treatment room currently being completed within the village.
see www.pamporovovillage.com to view the complete complex. Also, the chalets are extreemly well equipped.
cheers,
Frannie
