Pamporovo ski bus?

hi on the verge of booking Pamporovo, but never having been to this resort I was wondering how far from the resort is it to the slopes, and are there any real drawbacks to this resort?

any other tips or advice much appreciated.

Depending on hotel 10-15 mins on the bus. Or shorter by taxi. What hotle are you looking at?

Bus is fine and it is free. Taxi should cost around 10 lev from resort centre to the ski depot.

what is the frequency of the ski bus? and as a resort how do you rate Pamporovo, been to Borovets and had the benefit of staying at the Rila.

Only downside of staying at the Hotel Pamporovo is that is is virtually the last pick-up point for the busses so often they are full and you have to wait a little longer.

As for allocation on arrival, that's something I personally would never do in Bulgaria due to the vast variance in standards. However there are very few 'poor' hotels in this resort.

Drink at Bj's in the Perlik and Daks bar.The Markony for apres ski. Try and eat out a couple of times food is much better. The White house restaurant by your hotel is very good. Apart from dody female singers!
