Me and my partner are going to pamporovo in march and staying at hotel pamporovo.

Could any one tell us of any nice places to eat and where to avoid?

Thank you

re: Pampovoro for the first time

you should be half board in hotel.
a good resturant DANMAR to eat is 3mins walk from your hotel .go out the front door and turn right and it is the first place you come to on the right.just looks like a pub but good food at very keen prices.

on the mountain avoid any place a ski instructor tries to take you.best value on the mountain is Petes irish bar half way down. r the Hotel Markony at the bottom of mountain does good food resonable prices

re: Pampovoro for the first time

Hi All, Its my first time in Pamporovo from 30th Jan and i'm travelling with my 14 yr old daughter for her first ski holiday. Staying in The Prespa and read (regrettably) a few dodgy reports on the hotel and the resort but keeping an open mind!! I'd also be grateful for any tips from anyone in the know.

Many Thanks

On the slopes try the bar restaurant Rosignol at the side of the wall and the green run to Studenets. Much cheaper food and drink then others, other than Markony which is also good vlaue.

re: Pampovoro for the first time

Up to my last visit to Pamps Feb 2007 always stayed at Prespa, always found staff friendly and meals fine, lovely open lounge with fire and comfy chairs, but it is reasonable to eat out at the right places if need a change which I find where ever I go always eat out a couple of times (it makes the night) I'm sure as there are alot of new places others can advise or do a search on this board. You are not far from the middle of the resort and the perilik has pool tables and ten pin bowling giving activities for evenings. If conditions are right Pamps is a great place to learn to ski and to make friends. please keep your mind open

re: Pampovoro for the first time

David,
have stayed at the Prespa 3 times now and it has been good every time. Pretty central to everything (a couple of minutes walk) and out of the way to be quiet as well. The only problem we have ever found is that the food is warm, not hot, but just ask for hot food (they may have a microwave in the restuarant now). The staff are very nice and accomodating. Have a good one.
Terry.
