There is no excuse for taxis ripping off folks, can't be helping with the current situation of the resort being quiet. Hope this gets sorted as well.

Got ripped off last night - fulham to notting hill - £30 - but hey got no1 to blame as it was those licence cabs!

But it def needs to be sorted out...

so we just cant blame the Bulgarians who only get a couple of fares in a day.

What? Thats like saying, its OK if you go to a pub and cos they have not been busy that day they will charge you more. What would you say if a landlord said that to you?

The taxi drivers know how long the season is.

If you do not like using taxis in Bulgaria, go to France or Austria where the price would be set or there will be free ski-buses.

Incredible. Absolute rip off merchants who see visiting tourists as a cash cow. Going on a long time but rather than criticising them for their antics and the bad taste it leaves with vunrable tourists, the usual suspects try and defend such actions.

Agreeing the price of a taxi fare before the journey is common practice in many countries.

Hmm 20 levs for a 5 minute ride, bloody hell I wish I could get away with them prices!!! I take it that was from resort centre to the lifts? About 2 miles? So £5 per mile then? That is more expensive than anywhere in this country, it is taking the P.
Sorry but you cannot defend this it is outright ripping off tourists. If everyone told them to get stuffed and walk away they would soon learn.

In boro me and the mrs got ripped off 30 lev from the chair lift to the rila
Should of sorted first but told it was cheap

Had a good holiday but must say it left a bad test in the mouth

Silly them because I will never use them again

I am not defending anyone! If people are silly enough to pay it then they are fair game and the taxi drivers will continue to charge high fares!
