My friends are in Pamps at the minute and Taxis are still charging 20lev for a 5 minute taxi ride
when will the powers that be sort these rogues out. I thought this issue wouldve been sorted out given the recent negativityre: Pamps Taxis still ripping visitors off

in belfast and dublin taxi drivers r always ripping of punters. so we just cant blame the Bulgarians who only get a couple of fares in a dayre: Pamps Taxis still ripping visitors off
Agreeing the price of a taxi fare before the journey is common practice in many countries. I would also advise paying the agreed price before you set off. Many have had arguements when a fee of 15 levs was agreed, and at the journey end the driver has insisited he said 50 levs.

What planet are someof you on? You seem quite accepting of getting "ripped off" by taxi drivers anywhere. I can't believe you're so blase with comments like "tell me where taxis are not rip offs ??". just got back from pamps last night.. we also got ripped off by the taxis! they were asking for 20lev for a 5 min ride aswel.. we usually managed to get them down to 15 or 17... but one time, we agreed 15, got to our hotel, paid with a 20 and he wouldnt give us any change!! i now realise yes we shouldve paid before we got there, but u dont think about it at the time!
