Hi ya all. Off to Pamps on 20 Jan and considering trying to change resort due to lack of snow. Does anyone who has just returned know if the webcam on this sight (the one with the nice green grass ) is a true reflection of the current situation? Thanks for ya time in replying..
Hi
Just returned from Pamp. They have had no new falls during the last week so they were struggling with ice. I was told by our instructor that snow was expected around the 20th. There was enough to ski on but beginers were finding the ice and patches of wear difficult to deal with. Hope this helps
The Webcam you can see is of the bank on the opposite side to the main site/slopes and the bit in direct sunlight all day!.
There is still snow still loitering from the last dump (02/01/07) the week just gone.
The ski centre guys there are doing their best to keep the resort functioning.
If you are a beginner the snow situation as it stands may be good enough - put it this way I had never skiied in anger before last saturday and by the 5 & 6th day we were bombing down the red ...
