Am off on Thursday for a long weekend and as most of the resort seems to have closed down for the season by now I was wondering if people could reccom places to go to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner where I will A, Not be ripped off ( I don't mind paying a few quid for a beer etc, just not 6! ) and B, can have good authentic grub with local wine etc.
Also, anyone there at the mo? How bad are the pistes getting in the warm weather? Will there be any left by Friday and Saturday??
Try rossignol restaurant on the main green to studenets on the corner facing the wall. Beer 3 lev, kavarma 8 levs. Great service, lovely place, nice staff.
Having returned from Pamporovo on Sunday I can assure you that the runs will be fine and the snow that is already there will see you through your stay. Peter's Bar at the middle station (close to the T Bar Lift) gave us fantastic value for money as well as scrumptious food. £2.50 for a pint and proper Bulgarian food on the menu as well as the traditional meals like 1/2 Chicken. Jenny (the owners daughter) is a little darling who speaks perfect English and will really look after you ...

Strongly recommended by many of those who have been in Pamporovo many many times.
opposite the above location u will c a bar called peters bar .good food and beer here at reasonable prices.
the markony beside ski depot 2 is also worth a try for food
pete its nice to hear u talk about peters bar, it unfortunate that the main ski school will not allow the instructors to bring clients in2 it. if they do they r told they will be sacked. hope this politics changes in 2009/10
Try eating downstairs in the Snezhanka Mehana - below the Snezhanka hotel. The hotel stays open all year so hopefully the Mehana will do too? Perhaps someone could let me know if it doesn't.
That's Peter's choice philipf - he refuses to pay the Ski School commission on bringing customers in. Good for him I say! He can fill the place most days with regulars who stand by his morals.
Thanks Guys - all much appreciated.Looking forward to trying them out tomorrow! Think the snow will just about hold up too for at least another day or two....
bar ilia is great mate. walk out of the village towards ski station and where the buses park for the night you'll see a wooden place on the right with greek & bulgarian flags
dead cheap, local food, real fire, cold beer it's quality. bloke called michael runs it and he's barking
hope it's still open- if it is say hi to him from richard and family from nottingham
Yep, it seems like there are still plenty of places in Pamporovo that don't rip you off. They're the ones IMO we should give our custom to, the others will get the message if we all stroll past their door. Also Danmar not far way from where the buses park as well, specialise in quality pizza's at a good price and, yet again - great service.
If I could get a week off I'd be on my way, Josh I envy you. Just imagine all those runs to yourself.
