Hi, I have recently driven down the new road a couple of times which goes from Pamporovo to the Smolyan Road, turning at Forest Nook 3. It is very good until you get to the Sanitorium near Levochevo. Even then it is not too bad but it is not a road I would like to try and drive down in the winter as it is very steep. But boy, was it beautiful in the autumn

Hi AndieI have walked down as far as the Sanatorium a couple of times but never any further + was wondering where it came out - presumably it eventually rejoins the road to Smolyan?

Glad to say we are a mile or 2 more before the Sanatorium so the road is good to us
If you go past it there are horse stables who run fantastic tours in the mountains overlooking Smolyan. re: Pamps getting it's act together? Or too early to tell?
Way hay...we r going to Pamps for New Year...looking forward to a good knees up & boarding!!Anyone staying in Orlovets Hotel at that time? Do they put on a dinner/dance/ball event?
