don,t worry about the height my brother is terrified of heights he managed the main lift no problem although I had to hold his ski poles so he could cling to the the chair bar. He did have a few problems with sking and the instructor offered him and another person in our group to go down in the one man chair lifts, he declind and his sking improved no end, just remember once you get up on the main lift you need to be able to ski back down if your scared of heights.

I dont mind the heights when my feet (or ski,s) are firmly on the ground. so long as im not on the edge of a cliff or DANGLING LIKE A BIG OLD SCARDEY CAT 80FT ABOVE THE GROUND. its the thouht of falling that bothers me you seere: Pamps one man lift

doubt that u will use single chair on your 1st visit but if u do, rest assured your instructor will ensure u get on and off ok...thats a promise. I`ve skied pamps for the last 7 years and know how well the instructors take care of u , so much so 1 of my closest friends is an instructor and we see each other 3 or 4 times a year. Relax and enjoy, u will love itre: Pamps one man lift
Talk about panic
All the lifts are safety checked once a week, every week, and to say the supports are rusty and/or unsafe is just plain stupid and scaremongering.
Although they may not be state-of-the-art they are perfectly safe provided you use them as intended.
Any signs of 'rust' is nothing more than oxyidisation that would appear on any iron based structure that is exposed to the elements.
Now relax and look forward to your holiday.

thanks all, to those who have frightened me out of my witts and to those who have tried to put my mind at rest. I am off to pamps on the 28th and staying at the hotel pamporovo. if any of you are there, it will be nice to see you. If not i promise to RELAX, ENJOY MYSELF AND HAVE THE BEST SKIING HOLIDAY EVER. I hope you all have the best time too

Hi HayleyIts my first time too - at the beginning of March and we are also at the Pamporovo Hotel. Please come back to the site and let me/us know how you got on and what you thought of the skiing/hotel and the lifts!!
