Raining on and off. Blue run over the back is shut, as is the lakes run.One of the Stoikite runs is shut.
Otherwise OK, some worn patches here and there.
Feels too warm tonight for snow.
Fingers crossed ! Will keep the reports coming if I can find wifi.

Day 2Snowed on and off today, granular powder except very wet. Some sleet / rain at lower levels. Crotch frostbite a real possibility ( I have checked mine carefully and got away with it !)
All runs open except for lakes. Small moguls forming here and there. Runs generally improved upon yesterday.
It has been busier than I like today - is it Russian oligarch's national holiday or something ? Jeez.

O ski gods, I have to confess my sins as I was seduced by the dark side. I strapped a thing of unspeakable evil onto my feet for a day.
Never again. My coccyx is now to be found somewhere near my spleen, and my left kneecap is somewhere north of my right elbow after attempting a cab 1280 with melon grab, chocolate topping and hundreds and thousands. Whoever invented this sport must have been on angel dust or something.
Anyway...

O ski gods, I have to confess my sins as I was seduced by the dark side. I strapped a thing of unspeakable evil onto my feet for a day.

Heavy snowfall overnight, about a foot of powder everywhere. Thick, pea souper fog though, like you literally can't see 10 feetin front. It is really dangerous and I have repaired to the Spider bar to save those organs I have left which are still functioning.

It's all OK, I have come to my senses and am back on skis today.
The resort is RAMMED today. Taxi driver told me ( I think) that this is the weekend before a big national holiday in Bulgaria.
Flippin' locals, coming over here using all my snow........

Avoid the Malina lift !!!! The queue is at least 25 miles long ( I've told myself a million billion times not to exaggerate).
Well, it's at least a 20 minute wait in reality.

Was going to go this weekend myself but realised it was Liberation day on Tuesday, we were there at the same time and the lift queues were an hour or more so stay away from the Malina lift for the next few days!Not out until the 20th, worryingly it is looking like it is warming up a bit!

Overcast with sun every so often. 3 degrees.
Absolutely mobbed out, have opted for an early lunch in the hope of getting a few runs in while the hordes are having theirs a bit later on.
No snow overnighht, but what is already there is generally holding up OK. Chopped up here and there from sheer weight of traffic, and a little slushy in the afternoons.
Will be careful to avoid liberation week in future !
