Panorama building works, upgrade to Malina Appts?

We have just been advised by our tour operator that there is building works going on right outside our booked hotel, The Panorama.
We have been given the option to stay or be moved to the Malina Appartments. This isnt listed in the tour operators guide so need to know if this would be a good move.

Apparently the Panorama is a 3 star and the appartments are 3 1/2 stars. Also we were told they are quite new.

Anyone over there in the know have any input?

Lol... we are going on the 6th...This Saturday...

We booked with Thomson Ski.

if you mean melina village it is about two miles out of boro i think i would stay in panarama not a lot of work goes on in winter

Okay, strange but have just spoken to Thompson Ski and they say they are unaware of any building work going on either in or outside the hotel. She checked some log and said there is no record. Worried a bit. Thatch get on the phone and see what they tell you. They will notify us of any work that is due to be carried out.

we are staying in the panorama hotel on sunday and were also warned about this, but was not offerered any other option. We are travelling with Balkin!

Was told this this evening at about 5ish. Apparently it is about 200m from piste.
We were also told that we would have our meals in the Hotel Malina which is supposed to be right next door. What sort of standard is this hotel?

Pam, I can't understand how they have informed you about the works but are saying to me that they know nothing of any works going on.
From what I understood of the hotel it stands alone.
Any chance of forwarding the name of the person that spoke to you or having any info that you think might be of relievence for us to get to the bottom of this.
Her voice was shakey and she babbled first sign of an untrue.

I am staying at the Panorama now and there is definitely building work going around here, nothing noisy though. Panorama has been refurbed but not everthing is up and running yet, no jacuzzi, no ski/boot storage, loads of snow though.
If you are staying here bring tshirts as it EXCEEDINGLY hot, all rads are on full.
Also toilet paper is a bit of an issue
