Like myself, are you also one of those skiers who is constantly wanting to improve technique and ability by spending as much time up on the mountain as possible which usually involves waking up early enough to get the first gondola to the top, ski the fresh poweder or the first to ski down that newly groomed piste with no one else around you (all to myself!!), take a short lunch break before skiing the rest of the afternoon as late as possible. Like myself, are you also one of those skiers who is constantly wanting to improve technique and ability by spending as much time up on the mountain as possible which usually involves waking up early enough to get the first gondola to the top, ski the fresh poweder or the first to ski down that newly groomed piste with no one else around you (all to myself!!), take a short lunch break before skiing the rest of the afternoon as late as possible. The evenings usually involve being so knackered after so much strenuous skiing that a shower followed by a quick meal and a few drinks out in one of the local mehana's is about all that I can manage before crashing out, ready for the next mornings very early start.
Or, do you see a skiing holiday as another excuse for a piss up with a little skiing thrown in for good measure?
My only wish is that I had the stamina to stay out in the pubs late into the night as well as keep up with the amount of skiing I do. Perhaps I should ask santa for some stamina juice!

First I like to enjoy on top the scenery and take a mental photo, doing my skiing a bit, glad I can take a pause with a nice cup of soup while looking at other people coming in like icemen then after talking to myself that I really have to do some other skiing for an hour or two Im glad that I can finally drop those boots somewhere and wondering myself that I survived that skiday again!

that I can't fully enjoy the technique like you..mind you I didn't ski for 14 years in between!
Aah as long I can come down of that mountain Im happy
But I also like the silence when sitting on the lift and the noise the ski makes under your feet

yes like you Iam first out of bed drive everyone mad on the slopes first if anyones down before wo betide the rest of the group for holding me up, take longer for lunch though, but cant take both the nights and days have to choose one or the other, guess which I choose
