Performance skiing

Like myself, are you also one of those skiers who is constantly wanting to improve technique and ability by spending as much time up on the mountain as possible which usually involves waking up early enough to get the first gondola to the top, ski the fresh poweder or the first to ski down that newly groomed piste with no one else around you (all to myself!!), take a short lunch break before skiing the rest of the afternoon as late as possible. The evenings usually involve being so knackered after so much strenuous skiing that a shower followed by a quick meal and a few drinks out in one of the local mehana's is about all that I can manage before crashing out, ready for the next mornings very early start.

Or, do you see a skiing holiday as another excuse for a piss up with a little skiing thrown in for good measure?

re: Performance skiing

My only wish is that I had the stamina to stay out in the pubs late into the night as well as keep up with the amount of skiing I do. Perhaps I should ask santa for some stamina juice!

no Hornster, I'm a fun skier, def not a 9 to 5 one like you.

°maybe its the fact that in the past the other children did horrible things to me like falling of the lifts, jump into deep small area's, etc, ..
that I can't fully enjoy the technique like you..mind you I didn't ski for 14 years in between!
Aah as long I can come down of that mountain Im happy Razz
But I also like the silence when sitting on the lift and the noise the ski makes under your feet Wink
