re: Places to eat!

Is anyone eating ones bulgarian style or only Steak and Chips????
Every restaurant you told Marie is only runed for tourist like you in the season closed in the rest of the year. So have a great time and greetings to the doorman, with all the "Jummy Steaks".

Theres no need for a "doorman" at the White Magic, Christo dont need one as its such a good place to eat and drink. Yes there are western meals, but if you want to eat Bulgarian meals there is plenty to choose from.

We liked the Avalanche on the slope opposite the Rila. Most of the restaurants do both Bulgarian and English food. The Black Cat is recommended by the Ski instructors for good Bulgrian and we ate there with Krassi and his wife. Ask for your food hot though otherwise it is served Bulgarian style which is warm and tends to be too cold for the English!

I understand the New Years celebrationn tend to spill out into the street anyway. Imagine by then you will have a favourite haunt so just ...

re: Places to eat!

Cool, somebody else going on Boxing Day and asking the same questions as me (although you had more answers than me!! Wink)

I think we will be sampling as many bars as possible to make sure we make the right decision on New Years Eve!!

Just hope the view from the webcam improves vastly, it looks rather sunny and warm!! and the small amount of snow is melting.....lets all do a snow dance!!
