Welcome to the Board wishy umm I mean washy Very Happy

Plenty of good places to eat all around the front of the Rila Hotel. You have the Titanic over on the left of the Rila and turning right quite a few to choose from, Bobbys Bar I would estimate 200/300 yds/mtrs from Rila others might say less/more, whatever you will get an excellent warm welcome. Hope you have a great time, lots of help on this board from fellow skiers Very Happy but watch the snowboarder Snowboarding

As virtually all the eating places are within 300 metres of the Rila you will have no problems. Call in to Bobbys bar and you will be given up to date info on the best places as they do change from year to year. you will also get a brill reception if you anounce that you are a poster on the forum.
Hi SP. Soon starting the countdown. Have you got your pinny ready for cleaning duties at Bobbys

Hi Washy,

Welcome to the forum!

Just adding to SP / D'But's posts.... Borovets is a small, compact resort with all the bars and restaurants within about 400metres radius from the Rila - our place (Bobby's Bar) has all the same people involved but has changed location this year and is around 250m from the Rila.

There are also other great places to go and below are just a few of our favourites but it’s worth getting feedback from other posters as everyone has different tastes / an idea as to what is a great place!

Green King - managed by the owners so the staff / chefs don't change each season. Great BG food but can be quite quiet. We've never had a bad meal there, in fact we ate there on Sunday night and it was excellent again.

Mamacitas - slightly more expensive than the average restaurant but great band (albeit loud) and they specialise in Mexican food. The same person runs it each year and as long as it's the same chef (the team is at the Black Sea at the moment) then it will be great again!

Titanic - again, managed by the owners so food / staff etc is consistent and always very good. We have never had a bad meal there.

Franco's - Pizzas are very good, but this is much more of a party atmosphere especially later on in the evenings and it is also one on the places where you can still smoke (due to 2 separate area)s so it may not be appropriate for the children.

Black Tiger is also a great place to go, especially if you like Kareoke! It will be managed again this year by the sons of the owner, so it will have the same atmosphere etc as last year - which was great, but again, maybe not suitable for the children later on in the evening. They have a great view of the slopes for night skiing if you want to sit upstairs, eat and watch the floodlit skiing / or the instructors ski show.

Quite a few of the restaurants are still up for rent for the winter as a lot of places in Borovets are let out for the season so we'll be able to help more when we know who's got which restaurant etc!

Let us know if you need any more help!

Bobby & Kas

Hi Kas
Are you having the same chef this year. Just wondering if I would still have a drinking buddy.
