Plane..and what to wear

Hello

I have had this conversation with a few people to what they think.

Im coming to Pampovoro beginning of March. What do you suggest to wear on the plane and the journey to pamp.
Should i wear layers? or what do you think ?

May seem a daft question x

Hmmmmm

I guess just ask yourself what have you been wearing in the car during the cold snap here in UK

and then you will have your answer ...

If you do decide to wear your ski gear on the journey .. leave the skis off ... it kinda cramps the cabin crews style Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

re: Plane..and what to wear

It will not be cold on the plane, unless you open the window.

Normal casual wear will be fine. Have a good jacket with you to wear for the transfer, and to save space in your main luggage.

Normal footwear will be fine. When you go in March there will be no snow left so no need to worry.

Hope this helps.

Have a great time.

Hi,

It's traditional to arrive off the plane in Bulgaria wearing a Red nose, as long as you do that it doesn't matter what else you wear. You have to wear it through customs too, they like a happy english personcoming through (as long as you don't have any strange substances in it!)

Have fun

Nudger...I hope your point about the snow isn't proved to be correct but it made me chuckle.

I have just came back from Bansko and am planning to go back w/c 16th March, last year I went the same week in March and approx 5 feet of snow came down on the Thursda/Friday, more than I have ever seen in all my years skiing.

Hello Amy,

Temperatures in Bulgaria at the moment are warmer than what they were last week in the UK Ireland. The Plane is going to be heated, as is the bus to the resort. In March outside temps will be warmer.

The more I am writing this answer the more I am preuming that you have never been on a ski holiday before.

Dont expect North Pole temperatures in Bulgaria in March. It will feel quite mild, except at nightime when temps could dip a few degrees.

Like the post above says, ...

re: Plane..and what to wear

Amy, wear your ski jacket - saves luggage space and if you're too hot, you can always take it off. Wear your jeans/ trousers you'll be wearing on hol and a comfy pair of boots/ shoes. First time I went - I took a couple of skirts - duh Razz - but that was many years ago. Folk don't tend to dress up.
