Does anyone have any info on Plovdiv airport -transport to city/hire car desks?.We are going there on a flight only basis to visit relatives in Bourgas.I have heard its a pretty basic airport mostly a back up for Sofia?Thanks in advance......Neil

Very basic Neil. I do not remeber any car hire places in the airport but that might have changed by now or though I doubt it. Plenty of taxis though.re: Plovdiv Airport Info
No hire there mate,but you can organize it on the web for a pic up at the airport...Check the skidvd site out there was a post on there yesterday about taxis and car hire...Tiger

Oh and beware,last yr people were checking in then buying wine from the shop only to have it taken off them by departures because no liquid on planes...Loads of people lost their booze and they only had it for 5 mins

HI I HAVE BOOKED A CAR FOR THE 22ND WITH bulgaria rental car .com. FOR A WEEK WITH SNOW CHAINS AND 3 DRIVERS ON THE POLICY NO MONEY UP JUST PAY WHEN I ARRIVE AT PLOVDIV AIRPORT, THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AND A GOOD PRICE!!
26 euros a day and 1 euro day for snow chains
