Plovdiv

Going to Borovets on March 14th. Due to a misprint in Balkan Hols brochure we are flying in to Plovdiv instead of Sofia. Anyone else made the same mistake?

Oops meant 4th March not 14th. Staying at the Rila. 14 of us in total, 7 adults & 7 kids. 5 of us going to Plovdiv, the others got it right and are flying to Sofia.

Did you transfer to Borovets from Plovdiv? If so how long did it take? Sad

plovdiv is small but that is no problem at all. in and out in about 20mins. Just make sure you use the toilet on the plane. The 1 toilet in the hotel gets a long queue. As for transfer to borovets it's approximately 2hrs 30mins.

You'll love Plovdiv!!
It's an old military airport, it's has no runway!!!-only joking.
Toilets rubbish, no shops worth taking about and if you're lucky there maybe a stall selling coffee!!

Plovdiv is tiny!!!

The queue to get your passport checked on the way in takes ages, and on the way back the wait in their departure 'lounge' was 3 of the most boring hours of my life!

But you get to ski in between so every cloud and all that... Very Happy
