Let me, if I may, just take one post to try in my own humble way to explain something that mean a whole lot to me, and maybe relate it in some way to my pride, my passion, and my overall feelings for Bulgaria.
One week from tomorrow, I will climb into my car and drive the one hundred or so miles to Wembley Stadium. It will take me about 2 - 3 hours to get to the stadium, about the same time it takes us to fly to Bulgaria.

One week from tomorrow, I will climb into my car and drive the one hundred or so miles to Wembley Stadium. It will take me about 2 - 3 hours to get to the stadium, about the same time it takes us to fly to Bulgaria.
I will be in no hurry to get there, I'll take my time and enjoy every mile of the journey - in the same way as I do when I go to Bulgaria.
I will follow the path that many walked nearly 81 years ago. The year was 1927 and Cardiff City took on the mighty Arsenal in the FA Cup Final.
After the final whistle on Saturday 23rd April 1927, Fred Kennor, the then Cardiff City Captain climbed the 39 steps to the Royal Box to recieve the FA Cup from King George V ... and history was made.
Cardiff City were then and still are, the only team to take the FA Cup out of England. Although I was not born then, (honest) it is something that still fills me with pride whenever it comes up in conversation.
And now, after 81 long years Cardif City return to Wembley Stadium on Sunday 6th April 2008 to take on Barnsley in the FA Cup Semi Final for the chance again to win a place in the final of the greatest football club competition in the World - The FA Cup Final.
I have seen little success in the 40 odd years I have followed them, have watched them play and lose in front of less than 3,000 supporters in the depth of the 3rd division, but my pride and passion was never in question - they were MY team and I loved them with a passion only a true football fan could understand.
When Dave Jones leads out MY team at Wembley next week - all those bad days will be forgotten and all those lonely miles travelling home after another defeat will be nothing more than a distant memory as the World sees MY team perform on the greatest stage in the World.
So what has this got to do with Bulgaria?
Well, Bulgaria is MY Cardiff City. Bulgaria is no Premiership side, it often loses more than it wins and fans very often drift away when things don't always go to plan. It is no Manchester United or Liverpool, and the pitch may not always be the best pitch you have ever played on.
If I wanted to follow a successful football team I could. It would be easy to pull on a Manchester United shirt and profess to be a loyal fan. But I could never do that. The same goes for Skiing. Bulgaria is no Austia or Switzerland - no Zermatt or Cloisters - but it is my passion, and that is why I can forgive it many things that I know are not always as good as they should be.
So when you consider where you want to be in future years......... remember Cardiff City - often dammed for doing so many things wrong, but because the good times are so very special to me, Bulgaria will always be the shirt on my back when the final whistle blows.
And who knows - maybe, just maybe it's worth following the underdog sometimes. For no mattter how long it takes if you follow your dreams and passions long enough they might just one day come true.
After that moving speech, I hope Wembly becomes Cardiff's Theatre of Dreams.
Enjoy the day as much as you enjoy Bulgaria. Savour each minute, store up every exciting move, laugh off the price of food and drink, fingers crossed for a smooth journey and transfer and report back to us to share

Morning Pete, I will be there the day before you, supporting the other team in Blue. My great friend Norman Uprichard will be with us, for those of you who don't know hom, he was A Goalkeeper for Northern Ireland, Arsenal and Portsmouth. Hope to see you in the Final. another friend of mine was Jummy Scoular, who came to Cardiff City.
Jimmy Scoular was probably the best manager we ever had. Hard as nails and an immense passion for the game.
He got us to the semi finals of the Cup Winners Cup and he is still fondly remembered by all City fans.
Have a great day out next Saturday - and see you in the final
Hi Pete, I know nothing about football but really hope you enjoy your day and your team does well.
When I first visited Bg. I was unsure as I kept comparing it to the beauty of Austria with the lovely houses decorated with hanging geraniums in the summer and the cleaniness and greeness of it all. In Bulgaria I hate the corruption, bureaucracy, all the litter everywhere, the way they treat their animals (and children in care) but for whatever reason it does get hold of you. ...

Unfortunately most people go to the holiday spots and get ripped off but this is not the true Bulgaria. Visit the villages and get to the know the real Bulgarian people, they are warm and friendly and would give you their last bit of food and drink. Just to watch our neighbours in their garden spending hours eating their shopska salad while making their rakia and bottling their vegetables and to see contentment on their faces. This is the true Bularia
Hope you and Angie are well.
