The family are out in Borovets again over Christmas and new year and I wanted to sort out some private lessons for my wife, she has been skiing the last few years and is quite capable, however she suffers with a lack of confidence.
Could do with a couple of hours each day 1 on 1 , if anyone has any recommendations it would be much appreciated.
A good private instructor, try Christo or daughter Laura. You will find Christo at the White Magic, you will find the White Magic opposite the Samakov Hotel just a few yards down from Katys Steak House. This man is an absolute legend tap Christov Angelov into utube should find him on there.
There is a small hire shop next to the Titanic bar opposite the Rila hotel. The guy who runs it is imaginatively called George. He worked for years out of the Samokov hotel ski school. He taught me some 12 years ago and more recently taught my wife. He is absolutely brilliant with those that lack confidence and is very well known throughout the resort. Not that I lack confidence but we are out for an extra day at the front end of our skiing holiday next year and plan to hire him for a few ...

Hi Steve, my wife sounds similar, we booked some private lessons with a chap called Boiko, he was a gentleman and she really enjoyed his lessons. Hope this helps John
He was reccomended to us by Nick Chakalov who owns the chalet we stay at , he was teaching others and was unavailable . So we used Boiko and were not disappointed . I have his phone number if you want it,his English is great. Johñ
We just happened to pop into the Titanic one evening when we saw him in there and as I've known him for years I asked what he was doing and so on. He took us next door to the shop to show us all the equipment etc. He is a very friendly guy, I took his card as I wanted to pass his details on to somebody else who was taught by him but I think I may have subsequently stored it away with my ski stuff or i'd pass you an email address. Anyway if you just pop in and ask for George ...
Hi Steve
We just happened to pop into the Titanic one evening when we saw him in there and as I've known him for years I asked what he was doing and so on. He took us next door to the shop to show us all the equipment etc. He is a very friendly guy, I took his card as I wanted to pass his details on to somebody else who was taught by him but I think I may have subsequently stored it away with my ski stuff or i'd pass you an email address. Anyway if you just pop in and ask for George you'll find him. I reckon he'll remember my wife Ann-Marie. As is often the case, he has a catchphrase 'i'm loving it' as in the old McDonalds ads
If I find his contact details I'll pass them on
John, is that John as in John, Cheryl and James? If so are you out in Feb or are you going to Canada as threatened?
Just ask Angie who comes on here about Laura , Christo's daughter as a teacher. 2 year ago Angie would not even get on her skis. now she leads the way home from Georges bar.
