Hi Pete, bit skint at the mo so will give the pub a miss for a night the children need it more than me. Would love to give more so I will keep your address for when work picks up.
Please don't think of excuses why not to send monies, just think of the reasons why you should and that is because you care.
You should not ask well what is in it for me, but what difference it will make for others. This monies is going towards heating not sweets and chocolate, beer and ciggies. I asked my children if they would do without tuck or pocket money for a week to help keep other children keep warm for years, they did not even think before saying yes. Would your children give up pocket money and treats for a week to help the heating fund grow? please ask them and send the saved monies. People who smoke may cut out just one packet per week and donate the saved amount, buy one less pint in the pub, is giving a tener really going to effect you for long mmmmm i don't think so you will recover quickly but that tener will effect many lives for years to come. Most of us bank online pick up the phone and transfer a tener today, go on it is what you do as a good person in this life that really counts not that extra packet of ciggies or that extra pint of beer or that meal or take away you just ate.

Put a price on that. As you say what is giving up 1 pack of fags - at £5 a ...

Read the whole thread Arron - I later said..... well we have no intention of ever charging to use the board - but instead why not send £10 for the appeal.
It would be much better if people actually helped in some way - maybe doing a collection at work rather than nick-picking and trying to pick fault with my every word when all I'm trying to do is something positive in whatever way I can.
