Hello

Having read this board for the past year or so, I thought I'd write a random message.
I can understand you must get really hacked off with the same questions but when the mood takes you and you are imformative its really helpfull. Although best to use the search at top of screen and you'll find your working day goes a lot quicker.

We first went to Pamp about 6 years ago and then twice to Borovets. Love Bulgaria. The whole thing. Apart from having to come off the slopes early on the very first day as spinning out badly from a heavy (but very cheap) nights drinking upon our arrival the night before. Went to the taxi rank thing, thought I was hailing a taxi and it turned out to be the most clapped out horse and cart ever. I thought "well it could be kinda romantic!" forget it, I have never been so scared in my entire life....don't go there.......it is anything but romantic.

Hate to admit it but the last two years we have been to Austria for a change. Really enjoyed it but you couldnt have a proper night out as you're always watching how much everything costs. Group us off to Bansko next year for the first time....can't wait! Any random comments on Bansko would be appreciated but I wouldn't dare ask!

Keep up the good work guys, you make my working day loads more interesting.

P.s anyone know what the black drink is that looks (and tastes) like tar? Decided to ask the barman of our hotel for a bulgarian speciality....won't be foolish enough to do that again!

Random comments on Bansko;

I had the bext holiday ever there this year and am going back with 21 friends for a stag/hen party in January.

It is a beautiful town with quite quiet nightlife, but it is what you make it after all...

If you can, get one of the locals to take you to the thermal spa in the middle of the woods about an hour away it is absolutely magical. Probably a health and safety disaster but you can't tell in the dark and after a few rakias...

If you smoke take enough with you to last the week... 'Victory' will not leave you feeling victorious.

ski lifts and equipment all brand new last winter so will still be in great condition.

the restaurant at the top of blue run 5 has the friendliest staff and the best food.

Thanks alot. There are a few smokers in our group and the spa sounds interesting!

See guys......helpfull advise without mentioning exchange rate, food or snow record.

Must admit I'm worried about the snow as we've always booked last minute but Bansko seemed to getting booked up quickly. It will be a bummer if the snows bad but the beauty about Bulgaria is that you can afford to go out drinking if the lifts are shut.

Not like Austria, thank god for the beer offers in the local spa!
