While sitting in Bobby's Bar having a well deserved beer I thought I'd bring you up to date with current conditions and shenanigans. Since Saturday there has not been a cloud in the sky, temperatures reportedly 21C, I have been skiing in a T-shirt all day today (make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen if you're heading out). Conditions on top of the mountain have been ideal with all Marky runs open and still a good covering of snow. Musala pathway seems to be a mixture of ice or slush ...

Since Saturday there has not been a cloud in the sky, temperatures reportedly 21C, I have been skiing in a T-shirt all day today (make sure you bring plenty of sunscreen if you're heading out). Conditions on top of the mountain have been ideal with all Marky runs open and still a good covering of snow. Musala pathway seems to be a mixture of ice or slush.Yasterbrets are in excellent condition, slightly icy so make sure you get your edges sharp or if hiring make sure you go to a reputable company like SnowMasters (behind Bobby's). Rila side is probably suffering the most currently. Having not tried the Night Skiing yet I can't comment but will trying out tonight so will post later. The most surprising thing is the total lack of people here, you really do have the slopes to yourself Bobby and Karen have been their usual hospitable selves with Bobby even taking a few of us off-pisting to the Musala hut on Monday. Of course there is a down side to all this in the fact there is a big thaw going on, there are rumours of snow at the week-end, but with or with out this Snow will still be good on the top of the mountain for the next couple of weeks, if not perfect.

@graham and Jez, I have passed on salutations from you all. Things pretty relaxed here in Borovets this week as all the tour companies have shipped out. Karen is currently lying horizontal and it's self service behind the bar and in the kitchen
