Restaurants in Borovets

Hi

We will be coming to Borovets in March for our first ski trip in 10 years and bringing the kids for first trip ever. Cant wait to get back on the snow! Anyway the point of the post is to get some idea of good pal
Bces to go and eat on the mountain and in the evening.

We have three young kids who eat pretty much anything so we are just looking for that combination of good value and decent grub! We shall be staying at the Alpin so anywhere in the town should be fine. Our kids will ...

We have three young kids who eat pretty much anything so we are just looking for that combination of good value and decent grub! We shall be staying at the Alpin so anywhere in the town should be fine. Our kids will have lessons with hunters so we will need to meet them for lunch around the nursery slopes.

What about going into Samokov?

From looking at the post it seems Kaz and Booby have a place that deserves support. Where is this?

Many thanks in advance !

Jez

Erm - I meant Bobby and not what I actually typed. Apologies!

I also meant "places" and not "palBces"....

It's all down to typing on a phone!

We've so far been to the SNOW HUT, which was good value and food was good 8/10, Benny and Willy will look after you there (its near the rila lifts)

VENICE, opposite the Rila hotel, had the lamb slow roasted bbq, excellent food but service was a bit lacking. 9/10 for food, best meal we've had in 4 days, around 20% more expensive than most places

THE DEER, next to the black tiger, great food great service, great KARAOKE lol, excellent value for money there.

ICE ANGELS HOTEL, we normally have lunch there after a few runs at Rila, good food, great service and good value.

We've been to a few more but those are the ones that stand out so far

A main course is around £7-10 per head for adults at most places

Katy's Steak House is lovely, but make sure you pop in during the day to book, plus we had a great meal in Blue's a few years back.

For a pizza or something simple head to Franco's.

Snow Hut is really good. We were in there with the kids last week, aged from 5 to 17 and they all loved it. Proper homemade sausages and rashers...yummy!!

re: Restaurants in Borovets

You're spoilt for choice in the resort but Bobby and Kas have the White House which is up the top when you get off the Gondola. Prices were getting quite steep up top (excuse the pun) but the prices here are very reasonable and as Katy says in another link the food is scrummy. It's also mentioned on Trip Advisor as a place to go for good reasoanble food.
Might see you there in March
