Returning

Returned form Bansko at the weekend- nice resort, but would not return.

I do not understand people who return to the same resort year after year ( yes you may like it) , but the world is a big place so get out there and go to a different resort each year-you only live once etc.......

re: Returning

Fair comment, but some of us are families,i have 3 children and cannot afford to ski anywhere else,if i could it would cost me another £2,000.00
We have skied Borovets 4yrs on the trot,my youngest is now 6yrs old and can ski very well,we have always had a fantastic time not one complaint from us.
When i was single i skied in europe also had fantastic time, but i do not miss the snobbish looks and general selfishness of the then mainly posers on the slopes only interested in how good they ...

re: Returning

I couldnt agree more - we do things on a budget and always manage to find bargains if we look hard enough (sorry, no offence meant to anyone!), Just that returning year after year to the same place means you never get to experience other resorts which have so MUCH MORE to offer - you pay a little extra etc.etc.

re: Returning

Well this may be very narrow minded but we are returning to Pamps next year and one of the reasons for that other than we really loved the place is that I know which chair lifts I can get off without falling on my a**e!!!

re: Returning

I have to agree with Ian to a degree, I have friends who skied the same resort in Austria for 9 years as it was cheap, I skied the last 2 with them and after skiing the resort twice felt i had done all i could was ready to go elsewhere,However i can see the advantage of skiing a resort you are familier with,We have skied Borovets for 2 seasons now and im thinking of a change but maybe the others have another 7 years in mind Confused

re: Returning

I have skied a number of resorts in Europe and North America. Went to Bansko this year and loved it. Can't wait to go back next year. Have the brochures already. Its an ace resort and so cheap.

Horses for courses I guess but Bansko for me.

re: Returning

I'll be back to Borovets on 21st Jan with my friend Elaine. I hope they've got the death room at the Iglika sorted by then
