re: Rila, Borevets

Dave,

Right now we are planning the same holiday for next year, probally Feb half term 2006 & this time we hope to take a party of about 20. Great place, very cheap to drink etc If you have kids you must stay at the Rila as the nursery slope is right outside the door & the instructors take them off your hands 9.30 & return them 15.00hrs ish. The food at the hotel we found no problems with, plenty of choice etc. The lifts do tend to play up at least once a day but a repaired very quickly ...

Outside the hotel you will find everything within 5 mins walk to cater for all age groups !!!!!!!

re: Rila, Borevets

Did you have any problem with noise?

re: Rila, Borevets

None what so ever, Top notch double galzing kept out any external noise & well constructed dividing walls between rooms kept noise to 0%.
The only problem that I heard about was from the rooms adajecent to the 1980 Otis lifts.

PS we had a 5th floor studio room

re: Rila, Borevets

There are a few long cross country skiing runs in borovets but they are slightly limited due to the series of valleys running down the main slopes. You will have a good time, I'm back there on the 15th Jan for the second time. Rila hotels last year, and Samokov this year....
