Trainers with a good grip are fine I find

I use boots with a good thick rubber sole no need to spend a fortune on them.

Hi

My advice - dont spend a fortune on fancey boots. A cheap pair of leather boots should be fine. You know the sort like, CAT / timberland copy style boots.

Hi Matt

I am also going on the 15th, went last year and believe me you won't look silly in your moon boots, everyone wears them.

You should be OK with a good pair of trainers for the eveneings, dont forget you thermal socks!!

MATT! Don't waste your money!

Mate, for goodness sakes don't waste your money on decent walking/hking boots unless you're actually going to do proper walking some day.

Here's what I did: Get yourself down to your local Aldis, pair of Men's Winter Boots, high topped, really really warm (fleece lined), look smart in two colour options, rugged grippy sole, a mate wore them last year and said they were fine - bargain price of £14.99! ! !

You can't go wrong!

re: MATT! Don't waste your money!

Oh yeah I reckon they're fine! They are basically like any walking boot you see, proper lace up 6 eyelet jobbies, the box (I'm looking at it now) says the upper is Water repellent textile and mesh with a Teflon coating. There's a blue and grey option, or a browny green khaki plain look one. Go and have a look for yourself!

Oh pleeease, The guy obviously is looking to pull, but by the end of the night the women aren't interested in what you have on your feet Wink
