re: SNOWBOARDING AND DRINKING IN BANSKO?

There are usually plenty of Boarders in Bansko.

Whilst they use the main slopes, a lot seem to use off piste paths that run under a lot of the chair lifts.

Last year it seemd that boarders travelled in groups....safety in number s perhaps?

In Bansko there are plenty of Bars/Pubs. The Happy End has to be your first port of call on leaving the slopes.

Ah yes be a sheep follow all the other british tourist's and pay over the top for a beer in a fancy bar.

Do yourself a favour Mat search out some good smaller local bars that aint fancy like the Happy End but serve great food and beer for a lot less.

Hi Sarah yes I am British but I do hate with a passion the British obsession with going abroad to get smashed! Nothing wrong with having a drink I really enjoy it, but I never go out with the intention of getting of my head wich seems to apeal to so many of my younger fellow countrymen.

If I told you that just about 100metres from the Happy End is a little place where you can buy a large beer for under a £1 and eat freshly cooked tasty food i.e local stew for around £3 but it is not flash ...

I am not anti big flash bars I drink in the |Friendly bar in resort and shall no doubt be going to the new bar the Crown. I just want tourist especially fellow Brits to try the non tourist traps.

Very Happy
